About our gatherings
Alongside our regular teaching, Tahawi Institute hosts occasional public gatherings: lectures, jalsas, ḥadīth completions, and visiting-scholar readings. Most of these run under the banner of Darul Uloom al-Tahawiyyah, the scholarly strand of Tahawi that houses the ʿĀlimiyyah Programme, the Darul Iftāʾ, and the institute’s wider engagement with the classical sciences. Darul Uloom al-Tahawiyyah is part of Tahawi Institute, not a separate organisation; you will see both names used as you read about our work.
Gatherings are usually held at our Whitechapel campus; larger occasions are sometimes hosted at a nearby venue, and the venue for each event is listed on its page. Past events have included completions of classical ḥadīth texts, short readings with visiting scholars, and open evenings for prospective students.
Upcoming events are announced on this page and on our social channels. To be notified of the next gathering, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or X, or join our WhatsApp channel.
