“And We have certainly made the Qurʾān easy for remembrance…”

(Sūrat al-Qamar 54:17)

About the Programme

The Qurʾān Programme is Tahawi Institute’s structured pathway for Tajwīd (precision in recitation) alongside Ḥifdh consolidation and retention support. The two strands are taught together because they are best learned together: Tajwīd refines the rules and corrects habitual errors, and Ḥifdh consolidation gives those rules a living text to settle into through guided revision and steady accountability.

The programme is designed for year-round study, not short-burst intensives. Its pacing assumes that students (including working professionals) return to the Qurʾān week after week, building retention over the long arc rather than racing a syllabus.

Who the programme is for

The programme welcomes students at different stages. It suits those beginning to memorise who want a structured, accountable setting for their Ḥifdh, and it complements the Arabic Intensive Programme by giving weekday students a dedicated Friday evening with the Qurʾān. It supports those working towards an ijāzah in recitation, and it offers a disciplined space for those who have completed their Ḥifdh to hold on to it through regular revision (dawr and murājaʿa), so that what has been memorised is retained rather than lost.
