3rd Annual Bukhari Jalsa

Darul Uloom al-Tahawiyyah invites you to the blessed occasion marking the completion of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī. We will also be celebrating students completing the Arabic Intensive and Arabic Light courses.

The programme
The final lesson of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī will be delivered by Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mufti Abdur Rahman Monuhorpuri, in the presence of our guest of honour, Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mawlānā Yusuf Kothi.
Keynote speeches follow from Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mawlānā Saleem Nawab and, in Bangla, from Mufti Abdul Muntaqim.

The speakers
Shaykh Yusuf Kothi
Mawlānā Yusuf Kothi, a highly respected scholar in the UK, has played a pivotal role in educating numerous scholars. Throughout his esteemed career he has instructed multiple generations of ʿulamāʾ and holds the titles of Ustādh al-Asātidhah and Ustādh al-Kul.
Presently Shaykh al-Ḥadīth at Jamia Sirajul Uloom, Mawlānā Yusuf Kothi dedicated many years to teaching Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī at Darul Uloom London, where he also serves as the current principal. He holds a prominent position as a key patron at Tahawi, and his wisdom and guidance are sought for important decisions and matters.
Mufti Abdur Rahman Monuhorpuri
Mufti Abdur Rahman studied Islamic theology and the Islamic sciences at the well-known institution Jamiah Tawaqqulia Renga Madrasah in Sylhet, achieving distinction at every higher level including Dawra Ḥadīth. He then studied ḥadīth and iftāʾ at Hathazari Madrasah, Chittagong, where he achieved Awwal Darajah (first class) in Takhaṣṣuṣ fi al-Fiqh.
He has served as Shaykh al-Ḥadīth in several madāris in Bangladesh, including Jamia Madania Kazir Bazar and Jamia Islamia Dewlgram. In the UK he taught as Shaykh al-Ḥadīth at Madinatul Uloom UK, Plaistow. He is the current Shaykh al-Ḥadīth at Darul Uloom Ford Square (the London Islamic School) and Al Rawda Educational Institution, and holds the mantle of Shaykh al-Ḥadīth at Tahawi Institute.
Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Nawab
Shaykh Saleem Nawab graduated from Falahe Darayn and his teachers, amongst others, include Mufakkir Millat Mawlānā Abdullah Kapodra, Shaykh al-Ḥadīth wa Tafsir Hadrat Mawlānā Abrar Dhulyawi, Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mawlānā Ayyub Surti, Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mawlānā Zulfiqar Ahmad Narwari, and Qari Muqri Siddique Falahi.
Shaykh Saleem Nawab is the khalifah of Hadrat Mawlānā Qamruz Zaman Ilahbadi and Hadrat Mawlānā Muhammad Saleem Dhorat (may Allah Almighty preserve them both). He has been teaching for over 27 years. He is currently Shaykh al-Ḥadīth and associate principal at Madani Girls’ School and College (Whitechapel) and Shaykh al-Ḥadīth of Quwwatul Islam (Forest Gate). He previously served as a senior teacher of ḥadīth and tafsīr at Darul Uloom London for almost two decades.
Mufti Abdul Muntaqim
Mufti Abdul Muntaqim is a senior student of Mufti Taqi Uthmani and Mufti Rafi Uthmani. He is the founder and principal of Jamiatul Khair Al Islamia, Sylhet, and serves as the assistant principal of Munshi Bazar Trust. He is involved in daʿwah activity, delivers Islamic talks on various channels alongside weekly Q&A sessions, and is one of the most senior Bengali ʿulamāʾ in the UK.
