Tahawi welcomed guests to the opening lesson of the famous book of ḥadīth, Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ by Khaṭīb al-Tabrīzī (d. 741 AH). Students initiated their study of ḥadīth under the tutelage of Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mawlānā Yusuf Kothi, Shaykh al-Ḥadīth Mawlānā Saleem Nawab and Muftī Abdul Muntaqim, alongside other attending scholars.
